Carissa is the first impala to join our orphanage. She was found by the monitoring team, hidden in tall, thick grass. Alone and very young, she was brought in for care and safety.

At first, Carissa was shy and kept to herself. But with time, she became more confident and settled in well. She’s now often seen alongside Kisima, and the two spend a lot of time exploring the area together.

Carissa is curious and often comes by to check in—sometimes just to say hello.
