Enviroment

Solio Game Reserve is committed to reducing its environmental impact by adopting the use of solar for most of our operations. All our security cameras in the sanctuary are also solar powered. Our vision is to go one hundred percent green  and use  products that help protect the environment, its ecosystems, and natural resources. In doing so we are reducing our pollution and contributing to a healthier environment.

Re-forestation
Projects

Solio Game Reserve is actively working to reduce the effects of climate change by encouraging visitors, schools, communities, and institutions to join tree planting efforts in and around the sanctuary. We currently plant 25,000 trees each month from our own nursery. Each tree planted helps restore native habitat and supports long-term conservation goals.

Re-stocking of fish into the river

The aim of the fishpond is to donate fingerlings to the community to  empower women by providing them with a sustainable means of improving their livelihoods through fish farming. This not only helps in improving the livelihoods of community members but also helps in balancing the ecosystem in the river around Solio Game Reserve.
