Zuri's Story

Zuri, our young eland, was found near a road, alone and seemingly abandoned by her mother. Rangers discovered her in a vulnerable state and quickly brought her to the orphanage. "Zuri," meaning "beautiful" in Swahili, aptly described her grace and resilience.

Now seven months old, Zuri has thrived under the care of the orphanage staff. She has grown stronger and healthier, receiving the nutrition and attention needed for her development. Surrounded by other orphaned animals and caring staff, Zuri is preparing for a future where she can hopefully return to the wild and live as nature intended.
